Children's Music

 

We invite all children, 5-K though 6th grade to join this choir!   Under the direction of Richard Byrd and Ashley Starling, the choir rehearses every Sunday morning from 11:00 – 11:30 a.m., in the Parish Choir Suite of Drennen House.

The St. Mary’s Children’s Choir will sing once a month at the 8:45 a.m. service of Holy Eucharist. We look forward to seeing each of you and your children!  If you have any questions, please contact the music office at 933-1140 ext. 103, or by email.

LOOKING FORWARD…Summer is around the corner, and so is Children’s Choir Camp 2013! Whether your child is a Children’s Choir veteran, is interested in joining next year’s choir, or simply has an interest in music, Children’s Choir Camp 2013 is the place to be…

WHAT WE DO…Throughout the four day workshop, the children will learn foundations of vocal technique, principles of ensemble singing, the role of music in worship, and previewing music for the upcoming year. Most importantly, we will have LOTS OF FUN while doing it!

SOMEONE NEW…This year, we are thrilled to welcome percussion expert John Scalici of Get Rhythm Programs® as our guest clinician. John is an award-winning teaching artist, internationally recognized drum circle facilitator, musician, and speaker. His powerful message of Unity Through Rhythm has been featured throughout the country. John has an extensive and successful background in working with children, helping them to understand rhythm, utilize their own creativity, and learn the importance of interacting with members of a group. John is amazing at what he does…do not pass up this wonderful opportunity!

 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM each day
Registration Fee: $20 per child
