Elizabeth Smyth Bio

Elizabeth Smyth, Youth Minister

 

Elizabeth is a native of Montgomery, Alabama and what some might call a cradle Episcopalian.  As a youth in the diocese, she was involved with Happening and later served as both a district representative and a member-at-large in the Youth Department. She was also actively involved with the youth group of her home parish, St. John’s Episcopal Church.

After graduating from The Montgomery Academy in 2008, Elizabeth went on to attend The University of the South: Sewanee where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History in May of this year. During her time on the Mountain, she was actively involved in outreach efforts with the Sewanee community and looks forward to exploring the opportunities offered by Youth Ministry at St. Mary’s in Birmingham.
