We are pleased to present an outstanding lineup of speakers for this year’s Lenten Lecture Series. Each will offer a unique perspective on theology and the shared journey of faith. During this reflective season, we invite you to join us for thoughtful conversation and spiritual growth. This series is also a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend to experience the welcoming community of St. Mary’s.


  • February 22: The Rev. Dr. Rob MacSwain  Saints as Divine Evidence: The Hagiological Argument for the Existence of God.  Rev. MacSwain will also be our guest preacher at the 10:30 AM service.
  • March 1: The Rev. Dr. Reed Carlson  Does God Pick Favorites? The Challenge of Election in Scripture
  • March 8: Scott McWaters  Genesis and the Art of Inversion
  • March 15: The Rt. Rev. Kee Sloan  Shaping Our Faith with Storytelling and Imagination.   Bishop Sloan will also be our guest preacher at the 10:30 AM service.
  • March 22: The Rev. Dr. Russ Levenson The Best Tool in the Disciple’s Toolbox

Bible & Book Study for Women:

Tuesdays beginning February 3

1:00-2:00 PM/ Level 3 Atrium

This will be a discussion-based gathering. We’ll begin with a study of Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren. Copies are available for purchase on the table outside of Randolph Memorial Hall. Questions? Contact Katie Dewees


Devoted Small Group for Women:

Tuesdays

9:15-10:30 AM / Room 307

This gathering involves group discussion and sharing, rather than a lecture format. We delve into scripture, devotionals, and Christian literature.    We invite you to drop in and experience it for yourself.  We welcome any and all! Give it a try! Please contact Kaki O’Flinn  for more details.
