Morning Prayer
Monday-Friday at 8:40 AM in the chancel (Summer Schedule: Tuesday mornings only)

Join us for this daily office, a long-standing practice of the faithful who begin the day with prayers and readings from Holy Scripture. Enter Drennen House via breezeway door and take elevator to Level 3R.


Sung Morning Prayer First Thursday (September-May) 

Morning Prayer is offered Monday through Friday in the chancel.  It is one way many maintain the discipline of worship as well as stay in touch with practice of the daily office.  On the first Thursday of each month (February 1, March 7, April 4) members of the choir lead those present in a sung version of the daily office. These Thursday are particularly important in keeping us aware of the canticles and rituals of this ancient practice. Morning Prayer was the standard way many households honored God during the week. This tradition is still maintained in many communities. The office of Evensong is also still offered in many churches. These “book ends” to day are ways the worshipper can give thanks to God for the day that is unfolding and a anticipate a night of rest where God will guard the sleeping. 


 

Centering Prayer

Centering Prayer is an ancient Christian form of silent prayer that is ideal for both in-person and remote worship. St. Mary’s Centering Prayer group meets each Tuesday morning at 11:30 am. The group meets in a hybrid format. If you want to attend in person, please come to the new chapel at St. Mary’s. The chapel is on the 3rd floor of the Drennen House directly across from the elevator and stairs. For information and Zoom link, contact John Kennedy.

Please leave the motor court beneath RMH available for drop off or for those who need access to the elevator. To reach the worship space without using stairs, enter Drennen House through the motor court or from 12th Avenue and take the elevator to level 3R.  

Parking at St. Mary’s

Monday-Saturday: Parking is available in four places as indicated in the green on the map below.

  • The motor court – great for dropping-off.
  • The lot below the garden – Enter from 19th Street, take steps to the garden and doors to Parish Office.
  • The lot on 12th Avenue to the west of the church behind Ramsay High School (“St. Mary’s West Lot”).
  • Street Parking 

Sunday:

  • The motor court is reserved for handicapped parking SUNDAYS ONLY.
  • The small lot at the AT&T building- This lot is available on SUNDAYS ONLY.
  • Street Parking on both sides of 12th Avenue west of 19th Street.

Please note: 

  • The lot across 12th Avenue behind Mellow Mushroom is a private lot to which we do not have access. Violators will be towed.
  • Make sure you have a parking decal on your car to avoid being towed from a St. Mary’s lot. These are available in the Parish Office.
